The first Vidya Valley athletics team left for Mumbai today, 18th Sept 2005 to participate in a two-day athletics event – the Fifth ICSE Sports Meet. The team has dual responsibilities:

a. to learn from the trip so that we can prepare for future years 

b. to introduce Vidya Valley to the outside world. 

A heavy responsibility on these young shoulders, which I am sure, they will bear with ease and confidence.

The children were selected by the coaches Mr.Kishore Pathare, Ms.Manisha Gaitole & Mr.Anil Kokate on the basis of the children's sincerity towards sports and their potential to learn and achieve. This is a very young team from Standards IV, V, VI and VII - 13 children accompanied by two coaches.

The team members are:

Std. IV - Pulkit Maheshwari, Karan Suryadevra, Karan Saini, Sun Jae

Std. V - Dong Yang

Std. VI - Soham Kondhalkar, Manaswini Sirsat, Aditi Rajan, Waseem Shaikh, Mohini Bishnoi, Shivani Amidwar, Sidharth Bhole

Std. VII - Sarnit Kaur

We wish them all the best in their learning and their performance on the field. I am sure they will come back proud of themselves.
