Marathi Drama – Part 1 on Friday, 6th January
Dear Parents,
Once again we are ready to present our Marathi Drama by Std 8 to our parents. It is our experience for the past six years that the presentation is professional quality. Please do not under-estimate the ability and achievement of the students of Std. 8.
They will astound you and they will delight you. Be ready for an emotional roller coaster ride: Laughter, surprise and tears. Be prepared to ask yourself – When did my child grow up like this?
Why did we call this Part 1?
Because on 2nd March the students of Std 8A & 8C will present their plays. That will be Part 2. The conclusion of your roller-coaster ride.
To the parents of students in Std 8A & 8C: Do come on Friday even though your child is not on the stage. After all, their classmates are and they need your appreciation. Also, you need to know they experienced through the whole year.
To the parents of Std 7: Next year your child will spend many hours in drama class. You will wonder what the child is learning, what is she or he gaining and whether it is worth it. Please come for the plays on 6th Jan & 2nd March. Only then will you be able to appreciate the kind of efforts that students make to put up a spectacular drama on the stage. Only then will you know how this experience matures the students.
To all else: This play is a part of Vidya Valley. A part of your child’s school. You will be proud of what our students do on the stage. You are welcome to come.
Khote Kadi Bolu Naye (Ka?) / Jhoot Kyon Nahin Bolein? / Why Shouldn’t I Lie ?
Synopsis: When we can see so many people tell a lie now and then to get their work done, is it OK or Not OK to tell a lie? The play explores this difficult question.
Date & Time: Friday, 6th January 6:45 pm
Venue: Vidya Valley Amphitheater
Duration: One hour twenty minutes
School buses will ply as usual to get parents to the school
Snacks will be available before the play and after. No interval.
Friday School for Std 6 to 10: School will start at 1:00 pm till end of play.
